Since I was little, I had a horrible hatred towards cats. When we first moved into our house, I was delighted to find a rabbit in the backyard. Our family named her "Big Biscuit." We figured Big Biscuit would be lonely, so we got her a companion, "General Jackson," we called him. Soon, we had our first baby bunny. She was adorable. One sad sad day, our neighbor's evil cat, <-shown here, ran off with the poor bunny. The next few bunnies that they had were killed, no matter what we did to prevent it. That was one thing that caused my dislike of cats.
In Malaysia, we had many friends with cats, sometimes 3 or 4. Many of them did not seem to like me much, or hadn't been trained much, because I would return home with scratches and bite marks from these nasty cats. I hardly met a cat that didn't tear me up. After a while, I was always turned off by any cats I happend to see.
A few summers ago, at my cousins' house in central Illinois, we ran across the street to see the new kittens of the farmers next door. At first, I didn't want to touch them. Then an amazing thing happened-one of the cute, fuzzy kittens came up and nuzzled up against me, and fell asleep. I was touched by this tiny little kitten and I have never hated a cat since then. I even had a cute, fluffy cat a few months ago. I am so glad that I over came my dislike of cats.
